6 More Questions for Morgan Prince

If you enjoyed last week's questions then here's six more that I've answered.

6 More Questions for Morgan Prince | Morgan's Milieu: Morgan Prince, wearing Mango Jeans.
I'm looking very happy wearing my magic jeans, and new sandals.

Where is your best place to go on a date?

The Hubby and I have been to loads of restaurants, it's what we enjoy doing most. If I was to choose anywhere it would be Restaurant Gordon Ramsey. We've been there a couple of times and last time we had the most amazing ravioli I've ever eaten. In fact it was the best food I've ever tasted! I would go again in a heartbeat.

Interview with Pro-Blogger Zarouhi Grumbar

The second interview in my series of six is with the lovely Zarouhi who writes over at Mama and More. I remember, more than a year ago, when Zaz first began the linky #AllAboutYou, I loved the idea and was hooked right from the start.

Zaz loves yoga and her words are inspirational, you can find her on Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest and Instagram.

A Full-Time Working Mum's Blogging Day

As I'm away on holiday at the moment I asked Kat from Mum for Fun if she'd like to do a guest post for me. Kat and I first started chatting just before BritMums Live, she was trying to convince me to go. Unfortunately I was unable to attend but we've stayed in touch and I was delighted when she agreed to write this guest post for me. Go for it Kat!

I was recently lucky enough to be able to visit BritMums Live, and the question I am always asked is how I juggle blogging, being a parent and working full-time. The answer: with great difficulty!

A Full-Time Working Mum's Blogging Day | Morgan's Milieu: Kat and family from Mum for Fun

I always love to read about what my blogging friends get up to day-to-day, so here is a little insight into the world of a full-time working mother, who also tries to blog!

6 Questions for Morgan Prince

While I'm away I've decided to not only do a series of Interviews with Pro-Bloggers but also do a series of questions for me to answer.

6 Questions for Morgan Prince | Morgan's Milieu: Morgan Prince, at WDW in 2013

Every week during the holidays I'll post some questions and share my answers, some of the questions will be simple and others will be a little deeper.

To begin I'm going to take the easier questions first...

Interview with Pro-Blogger Vicki Psarias

I am on holiday right now but instead of leaving you I've organised a few interviews. There are many bloggers out there that I've admired for a long time and I decided to ask them a few questions and reveal their answers here. There will be six interviews, one per week - every Tuesday.

To introduce the series I wanted to start with a lady who has inspired me, kept me going when I thought it was too hard, and someone who is always kind - Vicki Psarias.

Vicki blogs at Honestmum.com and you can find her on Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest and Instagram, amongst others.

Flying and Missing Blogging

I fly to Orlando tomorrow morning and the nerves are starting.

I HATE flying.

Flying and Missing Blogging | Morgan's Milieu: The view of a plane wing
Just looking at this photo makes my stomach do somersaults!

Each time I go on a plane it seems to get worse, last time I was in tears before I stepped foot on the plane. I don't know why but I can't hack it.

Luckily the Hubby is brilliant at flying and the boys don't mind it either. I would hate to have handed my fear down to the boys. The Hubby can occupy them while I drink lots of alcohol and grip the hand rest until my knuckles are white. I'm like a child, it's pathetic and I know it, but I can't help myself.

Peer-to-Peer Lending with Lending Works

With interest rates remaining low the question in savers' minds these days seems to be "How can I get more from my money?"

Cue Lending Works...

A peer-to-peer lending platform that allows you to earn up to 6.4% with market leading protection including default risk insurance. This means you can lend money to individuals and get a decent return in exchange.

Summer Plans

With only three days to go until I jet off to Orlando my head feels like it's about to explode!

I've been working hard to make sure not to leave you lovely readers without something to read over the summer. Rest assured I have a plan and I hope you'll enjoy reading as much as I've enjoyed writing.

Winding Down | Morgan's Milieu: Cinderella's Castle, surrounded by people, on a sunny day.
I can't wait to see this again!

Starting next Tuesday (that would be 21st July) I'll be interviewing some pro-bloggers, there'll be six interviews altogether. Every Tuesday while I'm away I'll host another blogger, ask them questions and share their answers with you.

You'll be able to read about Vicki Psarias aka Honest Mum, Zarouhi Grumbar - Mama and More, Michelle Reeves - The Joy Chaser, Nicola Thomas - Stressy Mummy, Amy Treasure - Mr and Mrs T Plus Three, and Katie Portman - Pouting in Heels

Not just that but I have posts in which I answer questions too. These will also be shared while I'm away and you'll be able to find them here every Thursday, starting on 23rd July. Learn what kinds of things make me angry, what I would do if I could be invisible, and what my prized possessions are.

Apart from the pro-blogger interviews and my interviews there'll be no other posts from me during the summer holidays.

While I'm in Orlando I'll be posting the occasional photo on Instagram and Tweeting but it's really a family holiday that I intend to enjoy.

When I return in September I'll have plenty of writing material and new plans to set in motion. I hope you'll stick with me.

Health and Weight Loss Tips 27

The weeks are rushing by and my head feels like it's about to explode it's so full of things I need to do! Only four days left to get everything done, I'm feeling the pressure.

Health and Weight Loss Tips 27 | Morgan's Milieu: Health and Weight Loss Tips Badge

10st 2.6lbs

130, 366 steps

So I did manage to shift that extra weight and I think I'll reach my target as long as I don't let it slip this week. I've noticed some significant changes in my body over the past few weeks and I'm liking it. For a start my bra size has reduced a little and I'm able to fit into clothes that were tight a couple of months ago. This means I can take all my favourite bikinis on holiday and they'll actually fit!

Much Needed Me Time

On Wednesday I took a morning off and visited the salon, my hair needed some care and attention and it came just at the right time.

With two active boys at home, keeping a family home running, and a blog to write, things can get hectic. Although I love blogging sometimes it can feel like it's not really 'me time' when I'm learning more about code (something I never thought I'd do). The technical stuff can be time consuming and makes my head feel like it's going to explode!

Cryptology, Nottingham Review

Have you ever tried an Escape Room?

I hadn't until Monday when the Hubby and I attended Cryptology in Nottingham. Based on Long Row in the centre of the city Cryptology has only just opened and is a new and exciting activity to do with friends or colleagues.

If you enjoy "solving puzzles, deciphering riddles and using brain over brawn" this place is for you.

Surprise Yourself - Start Blogging

There are so many brilliant blogs out there it is easy to get bogged down by the self-doubt demon.

How could I possibly compete with the amazing writers already out there? What can I offer that isn't already being written?

Health and Weight Loss Tips 26

Throughout the week I've gained and lost weight, and the deadline is just less than 2 weeks away. Now is when it gets really hard.

10st 5.9 lbs

105, 279 steps

The walking is really getting to us now and both the Hubby and I are ready to stop. I think it's the intensity of it all, it's too much. Over the past few weeks we've been trying hard and now we can see that deadline and we're ready for the dieting and exercise to be over.

It is so hard to stay focused when you're only a few pounds away from your target and your deadline is just around the corner. I miss eating burgers, and chips, and pizza.

The thing is, it won't be long until I'm eating far too much of that food. While we're on holiday I'm not going to think about eating healthily, I'll just enjoy myself. And yet, I still crave all the bad stuff. In the back of my mind is a niggling though, I know I'll be so disappointed if I don't hit my target.

Tip: Stay Focused

No matter how close you are you need to stay focused, only you can make it happen. If you give up just before reaching your goal you've only got yourself to blame, and that could crush you. Keep going, even if it's only 1 day, you can do it.

The Hubby and I will keep going, this two weeks will be over before we know and we'll be enjoying giant burgers, amazing lobster rolls, and Dole Whip ice-creams. Just thinking about it is making my mouth water!

I can wait, the Hubby can wait, and we WILL hit those targets.

What I Read June Roundup

Another month and another What I Read Roundup, check out these brilliant posts from bloggers from across the globe.

Morgan's Milieu | What I Read June Roundup: Lexi
Lexi from Scribbles and Crumbs
What I Read 20 brought six fantastic posts mostly from mums. Lexi shared I See You, Momma and it was a lovely tribute to all mums out there. Forget worrying whether you're doing it right, just love. In What do Parents Need? An imperfect mum writes about joining in with her children, rather than worrying about them growing up. A poem, This is My Motherhood: Mundane Monday Mornings, written by Colleen summed up motherhood well and I loved the last line. As we watch our children grow allowing them to make their own mistakes is a challenge, A Mother's Work was written from that perspective and I loved reading. Giggling along with our children is something we often forget to do while we're busy putting washing in the machine or cooking dinner but Sara took a moment to enjoy Playing at the Park. Finally Shae Baxter shared her favourite places to find photos (with no attribution required) for your blog.

Morgan's Milieu | What I Read June Roundup: @DearDads1979

Dear Dads Blog
To celebrate Father's Day What I Read 21 was all about the Dads. @DearDads1979 shared a touching post about how he brought a stressful day at work home with him. I loved this post. One More Dad Blog wrote a brilliant review of Tomorrowland, from the perspective of a dad of girls. It was a great review, and one that convinced me to see the movie. If you didn't know, Apple Music launched this week and Dadyougeek has a post about what you need to know. Tim, who writes at Slouching Towards Thatcham, took a day off and spent time reconnecting with his wife, which they both enjoyed. John Adams discussed equality with his six year old daughter and made me realise that dads face discrimination too. Al Ferguson wrote a helpful post about understanding Google Analytics, and if you're anything like me you'll find it invaluable.

Morgan's Milieu | What I Read June Roundup: Maria of Collecting Memories blog
Maria of Collecting Memories
In What I Read 22 there was a great mix of posts. Izzie has been learning to let go as her daughter heads Across the Pond to the US. Amy encouraged us all to seize the day with her post and talks about her accident. I was shocked to learn what had happened to Amy but am glad she is back to health. Mel stayed calm under rather stressful conditions in Breathe in, Breathe out, now... RELAX Part 2. Mrs Tubbs talked about the things she's learned from blogging and is enjoying being her own blogger. A great read came from Maria and it was all about writing and strength, Writing with Confidence was inspiring. Susan had me laughing out loud at her post The good ol' times. WAIT I'm only 35. I'm 34 years old and remember most of the things Susan talks about, it does make me feel old too! A definite read that will have you laughing.

That's it for What I Read from now until I get back from our holiday. By the time I get back you can be sure I'll have plenty of posts to share. You'll still find me here, writing as usual, but What I Read is on pause and will return in September.

12 Secrets at Universal Orlando Resort

As you know we're heading to Orlando in a few weeks, we're all so excited to be going and can't wait to go on the rides and enjoy the wonderful food.

The Magic of Freedom

Last Friday the boys visited their grandparents and stayed with them for the weekend. It had been arranged a few weeks ago and the boys had been looking forward to it, but not as much as the Hubby and I were.

We don't often get time on our own.

Other than a visit to Jamie's Italian in Nottingham we had no other plans and couldn't wait to enjoy our time together.

Do You Know The Real You?

Throughout our lives we do a lot of changing. We change which friends we socialise with, we change our likes and dislikes, we change our hair. Growing up is an angsty time, particularly during your teens, and finding out who you really are can be difficult.

With peer pressure, the media, and sometimes friends and parents, trying to tell us who we should be it is difficult to know the real you. The person you WANT to be.

When I was a teen there was the usual girly problems, dealing with menstruation and my changing body, my self-belief was non existent and I had no idea who I wanted to be. All of these things culminated in me making some bad decisions.

I was learning who I was.
