Post Comment Love 7th - 9th September

I'm back peeps! That's right, Post Comment Love is back with me after my summer break and I just want to take a moment to thank my co-host Stephanie over at Lifeat139a, Suzanne over at Chickenruby and Nikki at Someplace Strange for covering for me while I was away, you guys are stars! I had an amazing break and feel great.

I feel like I've been away forever, going on holiday for six weeks really gives you a chance to get away from it all and forget about daily chores. It's been so good to take a break and although I am completely wiped out I feel good.

During our six week stay in Walt Disney World we walked roughly 400 miles and I tell you what, my feet know it! Not just that but my entire body is ready for a rest, it's like I've been pushing myself too much and need to chill for a while. We arrived home on Sunday and this week has kind of passed by in a hectic blur. I've had to get the boys ready for back-to-school, BP returned to school on Tuesday, just two days after getting home, and LP returned on Wednesday. They were both ready to be back and were looking forward to seeing friends but it was tough to get them sorted.

Arriving home and feeling so pleased to walk through the door and be able to enjoy all the home comforts is a good indication that you got all you could out of your holiday and that's just how we felt we we got home on Sunday. I almost cried at the sight of our recliners, I'd missed them so much! As for my bed, well, I so enjoyed that first night's sleep - I didn't wake up once! Of course I've had to deal with jet lag this week which has been fun. Both Hubby and I have been drifting to sleep during our lunch breaks and we tend to crash at about 7pm, but I'm hoping it'll be sorted soon.

We're all taking it easy this week as we try to settle back into routine and to be honest I'm a little less stressed because we're taking it easy. I'm sure it won't be long 'til the stress returns though - I'm a mum after all!

So how has your summer been? What did you get up to? I can't wait to hear!

Blogger Showcase Anne from Foreverthewanderer

Who are you?

Hi there! My name is Anne Carty. I’m an Irish travel and mental health blogger over at I’m 18 years old and I will be blogging for three months on the 1st of August.

How did you discover blogs/blogging?

I discovered blogging through Twitter. I had severe wanderlust because I had recently found my passion for travelling and begun looking for travel blogs. I came across a few and fell in love with the life they have so I decided to try and create that life for myself.

Why did you start blogging?

I began blogging because I have a passion for writing, travel and mental health so I decided to combine them together, creating my blog. This was to help me with my writing and anxiety.

What do you find the most challenging?

I find getting consistent views and gaining new subscribers to my blog very difficult because I have only been blogging a short time.

What is your favourite topic to write about?

My favourite topic to write about is travel and mental health. They are my two biggest passions along with writing.

Are you blogging for fun or do you have goals?

I’m blogging to create a career involving my writing. My goals are to create a regular income that I can live off so when I begin a family I can work from home. I want to be my own boss and have a career in something that I love so I never have to work a day in my life.

What is your favourite thing about blogging?

My favourite thing about blogging is the amazing community I have become a part of when I began blogging two months ago. I was welcomed into this amazing community with open arms and they have been helping me grow my blog greatly.

Have you ever attended a blogger conference and if so, what did you think?

Yes, on the 7th of July I attended Icelolly’s blog at at the beach in Leeds. It was amazing to meet so many other bloggers and it was also a lot of fun. It got me thinking though that there isn’t many events for Irish bloggers unless they fly to England to attend them. So I have decided to organise my own blog event for Irish bloggers who are only starting their blogger journey.

What are your three best posts?

My post on Auschwitz:

The reasons why I became a blogger:

Describe yourself in 3 words.

Kin, supportive and adventurous.

Are you a tea and biscuits or coffee and cake person?

Neither. I don’t like tea or coffee but I do love cake. I have a massive sweet tooth.

What’s your idea of perfect right now?

My idea of perfect right now would be curling up with my boyfriend on the couch while I do all my work for my blog.

Your perfect night in?

My perfect night in would have to be curled up with my boyfriend eating pizza and watching horror movies.

What would your best friend/ other half/ mum or kids say is your best quality?

My other half would say my understanding would have to be my best quality.
