Post Comment Love 5th - 7th January

Welcome to the first Post Comment Love of 2018! Link up your best or favourite post of the week and Stephanie and I will be happy to read, comment and share.

I can't believe it's almost back to school time - the boys go back on Monday. Which is why it's going to be a quick one from me this week. It's so good to be back to blogging again but the break has been amazing and I've fully enjoyed having whole days with nothing much to do. I really must do it more often!

The boys got lots of things for Christmas that they loved and they've spent a lot of time on games during the holidays. I am ready to get back to eating healthily again as I need to lose lots of weight before the holiday and I'm also ready to get back to my morning run. It's been a while now so I'm sure it'll be difficult for the first few tries but I'll get into it in no time.

There's no post from me this week so instead of reading my posts I urge you to take a look at one other linker and send them some love instead!

I hope you've had a fabulous Christmas and New Year with your family and here's to starting 2018 with high hopes.

Blogger Showcase Emma from Em's World

Who are you?

My name is Emma and I run thisisemsworld.com. I've been blogging since the end of June 2017 and I started off by posting every day but after about 6 weeks I realised how much work it was and how draining it is to be posting every day so my blog has gone through some changes and now I try to post at least once or twice a week depending on how busy I am with work and whether or not I have any ideas for content which hopefully is making my posts better. I write about lots of different things including nail tutorials, show reviews, product reviews and things I've done/experiences I've had.

Why did you start blogging?

I've actually written a post about this already which you can read here. I've wanted a blog for a long time and I had some time on my hands after I finished uni so I decided to try it and I really love it. It was so good to get a hobby because I was stuck at home all day by myself so I've really been able to give it all of my attention. Back in October, I got a job so my blog was a little neglected for a while as I was trying to find a balance and some time to write.

What do you find most challenging?

The thing I struggle with most is finding content. It has become easier now that I'm not posting every day but it's still difficult sometimes.

What is your favourite topic to write about?

I've done a couple of Primark Hauls and I've started getting a Harry Potter subscription box so I love doing those posts. I also love writing reviews of shows, films and products.

Are you blogging for fun or do you have goals?

I am blogging for fun but this year I am trying to take it a little more seriously. I graduated uni back in July and I've had trouble getting a job which as I have mentioned, is one of the reasons I started blogging. I got a job in October which is only a 16-week placement so soon, that will be finishing. I would love to work on my blog so that I might be able to get some money in and it's something I could fall back on if I can't get a start in my chosen career but if I do manage to get a job I can keep doing it for fun. I have set some goals for myself for 2018 which you can read here.

What are your 3 best posts?

I wasn't sure whether to base my 3 best posts on the number of views they have or choose the ones I like the best but I've decided to go with my favourites.

Kevin and Karen Dance Tour - I love this one because it was my first post and it's just full of amazing memories.

What it's Like to See Strictly Live in the Studio - This is another one that I love because of the memories and because it was something I had been dreaming of for years and it was just the best day ever!

My Mental Health Story - I'm really proud of this post. It was very difficult to write and I was terrified to post it but I think it's important that we talk about mental health because there's such a stigma surrounding it that needs to go.

Describe yourself in three words!

Creative, sparkly and friendly

Are you a tea and biscuits or coffee and cake person?

Can I be biscuits and cake instead? I hate tea and coffee!

Your perfect night in?

Watching Strictly on a Saturday night in the autumn/winter with my mam and having a pizza.

I hope you've enjoyed getting to know me a bit and I hope you will check out my blog and my social medias!

    1. Happy New Year Marci! I'm glad to be back to the healthy eating now, I think my body was trying to tell me it was time to stop the over-indulging. ;)
