The Dinosaur that Pooped the Bed Review

Since being asked to review The Dinosaur that Pooped Christmas in December last year LP has fallen in love with this series of books. When I was asked to review a new book in the series I jumped at the chance, I knew LP would be over the moon.

The Dinosaur that Pooped the Bed

As all 6 year olds know, tidying your room is the WORST JOB IN THE WORLD. So Danny and Dinosaur come up with an ingenius way to get rid of the mess - Dinosaur eats it!

"Soon he's so big that the friends are trapped! Luckily, with Dinosaur nothing stays stuck for long..."

Like I said LP loves this series and when he found out that I had another one he was so excited. At bed time he sat on his bed quietly and waited for me to read it. He giggled in the usual spots and wanted to talk about the story afterwards.

I love stories like this, they get LP talking about the story and he considers what might happen in different circumstances. His sense of humour shines through with these books and I would recommend them to any youngster.

You can purchase The Dinosaur that Pooped the Bed from Amazon for £3.85.

The Dinosaur that Pooped a Planet Sound Book

We already had The Dinosaur that Pooped a Planet but this Sound Book brought the story to life. LP sat beside me, with fingers hovering over the sound buttons. On each page there's a small picture to tell you which button to press when. As I read the story LP waited until I'd finished a sentence and then pressed the sound button.

He loved it.

The sounds really complimented the story, some of them had LP laughing (proper giggles!) and when we'd finished he said

"I wish all the books had sounds!"

The Sound Book was a big hit.

You can purchase The Dinosaur that Pooped a Planet Sound Book for £11.69.

I'm not sure how girls would react to these books, but LP loved them. Any 6 year old boy would find these stories very entertaining, and the Sound Book has one button that LP wanted to press again and again.

I was sent these books for the purpose of review. All opinions expressed are my own.

    1. What I love about them is they're colourful and have simple enough language that the little ones understand. They're great. x

  5. I love the pooping dinosaur books, they are so well written and very funny! I've not seen the sound book so I might have to look into that - I can imagine that the noises would go down well with a little boy who loves toilet humour lol! #triedtested

    1. Oh yes, boys love toilet humour don't they?! My two think it's hilarious to 'let one rip' on each other or pretend to. The sound book is great and I was laughing the other night as I listened to LP giggling as he kept pressing the buttons!

    1. If your little man loves the books he'll adore the sound version. Like I said, LP thought it was great and couldn't help laughing whenever we hit the "POO!" button. :)
