Post Comment Love 4th - 7th May

Another week another Post Comment Love and I have no doubt you've got some great posts for us to read this week! As it's a Bank Holiday on Monday (Woo!) we'll leave Post Comment Love open an extra day - so be sure to link up!

It's been a fairly quiet week here at the Prince residence, we've been doing lots of walking and lots of working but apart from that not much else is going on. 

LP is happy that the Hubby has his bike back and they're both back into going for bike rides every day. BP is being more of a teenager by the day, he does have his nice moments though and when they show up it's lovely.

As for me? Well I've spent the week at the computer, and if I'm not at the computer I'm walking. The weight loss is going well and in the last couple of weeks I've lost more than 4lbs. I know that doesn't sound like much but it's huge for me. What with the walking and cutting down on eating (mostly the bad stuff) it's definitely helping. I've got less than 12 weeks before I go on holiday and I want to lose A LOT of pounds (32lbs!) - I just hope I can do it!

Just a quick update from me this week as we've not really done much. How has your week been?

Who are you? 


Hi there! I’m Anneli, I’m a mental health advocate, blogger and podcast host based in Sheffield. I can usually be found hanging out with my Marley-ish Labrador, Doug. 



How did you discover blogs/blogging?


I’ve been aware of blogging for a number of years and followed some mental health blogs from a distance. Meeting Billie, of billiegeena.co.uk made me realise that I should be sharing my ideas with the world. 



Why did you start blogging?


I have always found that writing helps with my mental health, and have always been very tolerant and open minded about mental illness... writing about it publicly was a scary but logical step to take. 



What do you find most challenging?


Honestly, the most challenging part is time management, it’s hard to juggle good content, a full time job and a fulfilling life as it is, without having to take occasional time out for anxiety and PTSD to deal with on top. 



What is your favourite topic to write about?


My favourite thing to write about is people that inspire me, I wrote a post about Stephen Fry not long ago that was shared by QI on Twitter - that was pretty cool. 



Are you blogging for fun or do you have goals?


I’m blogging to make a change in the way people treat themselves, each other and mental illness. Of course, I would love to do it full time, but that isn’t currently possible. 



Have you ever attended a blogging conference and if so, what did you think?


I’ve never actually attended a blogging conference, as I always get anxious (ironically) that they’re not “for me”, but for lifestyle, beauty and travel bloggers. 



What are your 3 best posts?

Bat shit quirky. 



Are you a tea and biscuits or coffee and cake person?


ALL OF THE ABOVE. 



What's your idea of a perfect night out?


My idea of a perfect night out would be sat in a fairy-lit garden on a summery evening, in the company of red wine and good friends. 



Your perfect night in?


My perfect night in would be the same as the above except relocating inside when it gets a bit nippy!



What would your best friend/OH/mum or kids say is your best quality?


My best friend would say (did say - I asked her) that my best quality is how much I care about other people. She’s wrong though, it’s my striped t-shirt collection!
