Post Comment Love 10th - 12th February

It's Friday, which means it's time for Post Comment Love. Link up your best/favourite post of the week and let others read, enjoy, and share. We've built a great little community here so why not join with us and get a few extra views.

Well, I'm still playing catch up this week. My office is no more sorted than it was last week... okay that's a lie, I managed to get some furniture moved out and it does look slightly better but there's just so much stuff to sort out that it might take a while.

Add that to the fact that it's half term next week and the boys are off school today and I'm a frazzled mum. I've been trying to get things ready for next week, without much success, as well as planning for my new hobby, card-making.

For years I've said that I'm not a crafty person and don't particularly enjoy making things. Over the last couple of weeks I've enjoyed making a card and have a few ideas for other cards too. I have most of the equipment I need and actually it's a lot easier when you have the right tools. Who'd have thought it right?

The other thing is that it's therapeutic, concentrating on creating something beautiful and blocking everything else out helps my mind relax. I spent yesterday sketching ideas on the iPad and have a list of cards I'd like to create.

The funny thing about this new hobby is that it fits in with my words for the year. Thanks to Michelle Reeves I settled on two words to focus on for the year; Create and Nurture. When I first saw the word create I wasn't sure what it was I'd be creating, perhaps just blog posts, but it seems that this year I have found a new hobby that I enjoy. And as for the Nurture, that word is running through everything I do at the moment. I'm nurturing my new found love for crafting, I'm taking time to think about blog posts and make them count, I'm even spending more time with my children which is always a bonus.

I'm hoping to have my office sorted out by next week and I'll post some pics then (as long as there's some good light!).

Are you prepared for half term? What do you have planned?
