Pizza Hut's stuffed crust pizza is one of the best takeaway pizzas there is but it is also expensive. If you were a whizz in the kitchen you could probably make your own, but alas I'm not so I turn to others to do it for me, and that's where Tesco come in. They can help me make my own stuffed crust pizza, the easy way.
Tesco sell a pre-made stuffed crust pizza base that you add your own toppings to and bake at home. It's not as big as a Pizza Hut pizza but it's just right to share.
The Hubby and I will occasionally share one of these between us for lunch.
What you'll need:
Tomato Passata
Grated mozzarella
2 slices cooked ham
Mushrooms
Sweetcorn
Method:
Unwrap the pizza base and preheat the oven to 180ºC (fan-assisted).
The base already has a little tomato passata but it's not nearly enough so I bought extra.
Spoon the passata onto the base (as much as you would like) and spread around with the back of the spoon.
Take the two slices of cooked ham and tear into small pieces. Place the pieces on top of the grated cheese.
At this point you can sprinkle a little more cheese on top of the ham if you choose. I do, but it's up to personal preference.
Add a few sliced mushrooms and sprinkle sweetcorn on top.
Place in the oven for 10-12 minutes, keeping an eye on the pizza.
My oven can be temperamental so I always keep an eye on my food and remove it when I think it's ready. Sometimes it can be a few minutes before it is supposed to be ready.
The big lad is a massive pizza fan. Unfortunately we don't have stuffed crust bases here but I think looking at this I could wrap over the base and stuff cheese inside. This looks very yummy hun 🌸 TY for linking up with #FamilyFun 🌸
ReplyDeleteThat's a great idea! I think it would work brilliantly too. You'll have to let me know if you try it and what it was like. It was yummy!! :)
DeleteOh this is amazing that you can buy the stuffed crust base - had no idea ... nothing beats a homemade pizza so I would prefer this to the take out ones anyway ... right off to the shops - dinner sorted tonight! #familyfun
ReplyDeleteHehe, hope you enjoy! I think the great thing about it is you can choose whatever toppings you like!
DeleteNot sure about the corn and mushrooms, as I'm more of a meaty pizza guy, but it still looks delicious
ReplyDeleteThat's the great thing about it, you can add whatever toppings you like so you could totally do a fully meaty pizza! :)
DeleteI shop with Tesco every week. How have I missed these.
ReplyDeleteI think I will have to add some to my shopping order :D
If you go into the store they're hidden with the fresh pizzas in the fridges, at least that's where they are in our store. You'll love them, they're so easy to do! :)
DeleteI am just wondering what to make for tea and I could just eat this !! Looks so yummy :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing at the weekend blog hop.. Happy Easter ..
It's really yummy! And you could adjust the toppings to your personal taste.
DeleteThanks for hosting and Happy Easter to you! :)
Hi Morgan, I must admit that I did get a little excited at the thought of making a stuffed crust pizza from scratch (another thing I want to do, but haven't got round to).
ReplyDeleteI must admit though that if Tescos was a local supermarket I would have a couple of these in the freezer as they do look rather nice and adding your own pizza topping is sort of homemade!
xx
So sorry Debbie, a stuffed crust pizza from scratch is way beyond my capabilities!! That's why I love these, I don't have to do the hard bit at all!
DeleteI am so going to Tesco's now! Ordering pizza is so expensive and well this one is a great option! I would put a lot of meat on mine. I love beef and I have meatballs in t he freezer that would be so good as a topping! #pocolo
ReplyDeleteI agree hun, ordering pizza is really expensive and these are a great replacement. They're not nearly as big as the ones you might order from Pizza Hut but you can always do more than one and have different toppings on each! :) Beef and meatballs sound great - might have to try that myself. :)
DeleteI did not know they sold these! I love stuffed crust pizza & I must try this! #familyfun
ReplyDeleteDefinitely!! They're really tasty. x
DeleteThis is such a great idea - and so much cheaper than the pizza takeaway places! Thanks for hosting #PoCoLo x
ReplyDeleteThanks Vicky, it can also be healthier too (as long as you use the right toppings!). x
DeleteThat looks good - I'm a sucker for pepperoni and jalapeños on my pizzas so they'd have to be there somewhere. :) x
ReplyDeleteThanks Steph, I love pepperoni but not too keen on the jalapeños. That's the great thing about the base though, you can choose what toppings you want. 😀
