Life Before the Hubby

A while ago I was tagged by Kat over at Mum for Fun to talk about my life before I met the Hubby.

I met the Hubby in 2002, actually it was 26th October 2002, we've been in each other's life for 13 blissful years now. I'll always remember the car trip home after our first date, we were both quiet. You know the uncomfortable silence you tend to get on a first date? Well we didn't. The silence wasn't uncomfortable, I felt at ease and that was when I knew he'd be around for a while.

He's my Shrek!

Before the Hubby I walked everywhere, I hadn't yet learned to drive.

Before the Hubby I had never been to the U.S.A. Since 2002 I've visited many times, I've been to San Francisco, Las Vegas, and Florida.

Before the Hubby I didn't know how to drive.

Before the Hubby I had never been to a theme park. I was introduced to Walt Disney World thanks to the Hubby, now nothing else will do!

Before the Hubby I wasn't particularly interested in computer games. Since meeting him I'm somewhat of an expert, I play games and my boys have been raised playing them.

Before the Hubby I had never been in a hot air balloon. I've only done it once, I'm terrified of flying, but it was a lot more pleasant than I thought it would be.

Before the Hubby I had never been to a restaurant.

Before the Hubby I thought I knew happiness.

Before the Hubby I didn't know the power of true love.

Before the Hubby I didn't realise how happy one person could be.

My wonderful husband has given me so much, I am a mother now and am raising an amazing family.

Before the Hubby I wasn't me, I was waiting to become me.

He brought me the life I love.

  1. Aw that is such a beautiful post. It sounds like you two are made for each other.

  2. Oooh that is beautiful, thank you for for completing the meme, you were way quicker than I was. In fact your meme is still on my long to do list!
    Hope you are all well?
    Katrina x

    1. Thanks Kat. Yes I'm good, busy but good! I was quicker because I don't have a full-time job as well as a family AND blogging! If I was doing all that I don't think I'd write for the blog very often! :)

  3. Aw this is so lovely. Meeting your sole mate and feeling complete is the best feeling in the world. I'm not sure what I did without mine x

    1. It really is isn't it? Life was so different back then, I'm so glad I found him.

  4. A lovely tribute to him. It's amazing how much our partners help us grow. I can't imagine what Id be like and where I'd be without my wife. Very jealous you've been to Walt Disney. It's on my bucket list.
Thanks so much for linking up to #fartglitter
