Post Comment Love 9th - 11th March

It's Friday, it's Post Comment Love time - so join Stephanie and I and link up your best post of the week! We'll pop over for a read, comment and share - and you'll get it in front of others too!

Well after the snow last week things have been nice and quiet. LP got to wear his Gandalf outfit on Tuesday because the school rearranged the World Book Day celebrations so he was rather happy, and surprisingly he wore his beard and wig all day! I didn't think he would but he was really pleased with himself when he came out of school still wearing it.

BP has started cooking at school and he's coming home with an upside down pineapple cake today - despite being on a diet I'll definitely be trying some! It's funny because the cooking seems to be something he enjoys and I didn't expect that. He made cookies during half term and they were really tasty. Of course I can't let him bake all the time or this diet won't go anywhere!

I'm happy to see the sun making more of an appearance now. After the snow and a few miserable days it's nice to see the sun pushing through the clouds and warming us with its rays. I cannot wait until it starts to warm up and we can go outdoors without having to wear gloves and scarves all the time.

How glorious a greeting the sun gives the mountains!

My weight loss is almost back on track, after a huge hiccup. I have plantar fasciitis (a hurty heel) and that means that any walking I do will cause pain later. At least that's how I've been experiencing it. Last night I spent an hour on my feet in the kitchen, tidying the dinner plates away, putting the dishwasher on and cleaning the countertops. Then this morning my foot really hurt and is continuing to hurt. Not good. Before this I was going on the treadmill every day and loving it but since my foot started hurting I've not been able to. I'm just lucky that I can replace the treadmill with an exercise bike and still get some exercise done. It wasn't working to begin with but I'm doing 40 minutes per day and it seems to be helping now. I just hope I can keep it up!

I'm looking forward to a morning off on Sunday - Mother's Day. Maybe I'll even get a lie-in! That would be nice.

How will you be enjoying Mother's Day?

Blogger Showcase Deborah from Style by Deb

Who are you?

My name is Deborah Ferrero, a fashion blogger based in London and Argentina. My blog also covers beauty, skincare and lifestyle. I'm also a freelance stylist, a huge cat lover and Christmas junkie! Can't live without my signature winged eyeliner <3

How did you discover blogs/blogging?

I discovered blogs back in 2011 after googling combination ideas for a particular clothing item. But it wasn't until 2012 that I became an avid reader of certain blogs such as Style Scrapbook, Kayture, Le Blog de Betty and The Blonde Salad.

Why did you start blogging?

I started blogging because I thought it was a great way to showcase my personal style and hopefully inspire others. I also started in a year where I was going through a hard time (2013) and blogging distracted me from all the sad things and made me focus on stuff I really love and enjoy. :)

What do you find most challenging?

What I find most challenging about blogging is to stand out from the crowd, this sea of bloggers we're all in, you know what I mean? Each and every one of us has a unique voice and approach to different topics and even trends. It's hard for me to find that one thing that sets me apart from the rest of the bloggers. Wow, honest moment right there...

What is your favourite topic to write about?

Being a stylist, fashion is naturally my favorite subject to write (and talk) about. Beauty and skincare come next! <3

Are you blogging for fun or do you have goals?

After my first year I started setting goals for my blog and for me as a blogger. It made me learn to have a more professional approach to how I manage blogging, and I always keep my goals in mind.

What is your favourite thing about blogging?

It's hard to pick just one because I found so many positive things about blogging! whether is connecting with lovely people around the world that have become my blogging pals, or being able to work and collaborate with great brands... Not to mention blogging made me lose most of my shyness! Haha :D

Have you ever attended a blogging conference and if so, what did you think?

Sadly no, I've never attended a blogging conference. Simply because in my hometown there weren't any. I know there are tons in London but I just have to find the time, I'd love to have that experience.

What are your 3 best posts?

My 3 best posts of 2017 in my opinion are my 4th Bloggiversary post, a cute streetstyle post that has been featured in a Canadian website ( and this all-black outfit streetstyle post that was greatly received in social media (

Describe yourself in three words!

Myself in three words, hmm... dreamer, believer, achiver ;)

Are you a tea and biscuits or coffee and cake person?

Coffee and cake! :)

What's your idea of a perfect night out?

A perfect night out would be bf and I going to a nice restaurant for dinner and/or a cool place for drinks afterwards. <3

Your perfect night in?

And a perfect night in would be again my boyfriend and I cooking dinner together while watching Gordon Ramsey (and drinking wine lol) and then Netflix to finish off the day.

What would your best friend/OH/mum or kids say is your best quality?

I've been told many times that I'm a good listener so I guess that's my best quality! :)
