Post Comment Love 18th - 20th January

Welcome back to another week of Post Comment Love, join Stephanie and me for our weekly linky where we welcome all bloggers all topics, because let's face it - we could all use the exposure! Read, share, comment on the posts you love - this community is all about sharing the love.

It's nice to be back into a normal routine. No plans to go out in the middle of the day, no doctor's appointments, just a regular week with school runs and cooking dinner. Some might think of it as a boring week but to be honest these kind are my favourite because there's only my little family I have to think about. With lunches sorted and dinners planned I don't even have to worry about what I'm cooking every day. Today for example we have Moussaka - a Tesco finest one so I don't even have to do much "cooking", just chuck it in the oven and wait.

It always takes me a while to settle down properly after Christmas and I think this week has helped me a lot. I'm also focussing on being kinder to myself. Looking after myself when I need to and spoiling myself when I feel like it. Don't get me wrong, I'm not about to go on an epic shopping spree (I wish!) but if I fancy a new pair of shoes I won't put off buying them because of feeling guilty - I mean I deserve it right?

Be kind whenever possible. It is always possible.

Dalai Lama

As mums I think we tend to do everything for our family, spoiling them and buying treats, but when it comes to us we don't like to. We take ages to decide to buy anything for ourselves and when we do we feel guilty for spending the money. But anyway, that's a topic for another post!

I'm starting to take care of myself, a little more time for me when I need it. Like tomorrow I'll be going to a yoga class again and I can't wait! I went last week for the first time and loved it, I was so achy for a few days afterwards so I know it's working and I'm looking forward to attending another class.

And as for the boys? They're happy to be back at school (for the most part), and glad to be seeing their friends again.

Are your kids happy to be back to a routine?
