Health and Weight Loss Tips 25

As the holiday gets closer I'm beginning to think my chances of reaching my ultimate goal are looking slim. That doesn't mean I'm going to give up, I've just adjusted my target a little and it's still one that I'll be happy with.

10st 5.1 lbs

114, 386 steps

My new goal is 10st, the 9st 7lbs is not achievable now, at least not by the time I go on holiday. But like I said, if I can get to 10st by the time we leave then I'll be a happy lady.

This week has been pretty good, although I've only lost 0.1 lbs since last week I've eaten lots of lovely food and managed to keep much of the weight off. That's got to be considered a win.

On Friday the Hubby and I went out to Jamie's Italian in Nottingham (review soon), we considered it a belated anniversary celebration (our anniversary was 16th June). As you can imagine we had lots of food and even dessert, which we normally don't have. All that extra food meant weight gain, of course, but it didn't take long to shift it again.

It has been hard to stay focused on the weight loss lately, with eating healthily and walking lots both the Hubby and I are feeling worn down by it all. Half the problem is we're thinking of all the lovely food we'll be having on holiday and wanting to eat it now!

We're trying our very best to stay focused, if we give up now we won't reach our goals and we'd be so disappointed. So instead of giving in to temptation we're sticking with the diet, no matter how hard it gets.

Tip: Keep your eye on the goal

It is so easy to give up when you're close to your target. Thinking to yourself "well... it's only a couple of pounds or so, I'm almost there" and then munching your way through a burger doesn't seem like the bad choice. But when it actually comes to your deadline and you haven't reached the goal you'll feel that disappointment.

The Hubby and I have a list of food we want to eat, the list keeps getting longer, but we're holding off. There will be plenty of opportunities to eat while on holiday and giving up now isn't an option. We will reach our goals.

I just know it.
