Valentine's Gift Guide

This time of year is always a pain; we've just had Christmas, then my birthday, and we're already heading fast towards Valentine's Day. There's far too much gift buying this time of year!

But of course it's just what you do isn't it? I always trawl the internet for all the gift guides when I'm struggling so I thought it would be a good idea for me to put one together this year. Below you'll find suggestions for him, for her, for your kids, and for you both.

I hope it helps.

For Him

Men can be a real pain to buy for, particularly if they already have everything they need or want. Buying for the man who has everything is an almost impossible task and you need all the help you can get right?

In that case here's just a few pieces to choose from...

To start with you could try a watch, and you can find some great ones (including photo face watches!) over on GiftsOnline4U. I got a beautiful watch for my sister at Christmas from here and it was lovely. Being able to engrave something that he will wear every day - I have no doubt he would love something like that.

Every husband needs some tips on How to be a good husband right? Check out the book from Prezzybox for £4.99, he may pick up some tips and if not you can both have a good laugh together!

As the weather still hasn't improved you could choose a jumper or hoodie, it's always a good bet and Idle Man have a great selection of winter warmers - like this Navy fleece with pockets for £45, it looks so lovely and warm doesn't it?

I'm sure you're not the only one that has days when you just want to sit in your pyjamas and have a lazy day. Why not help him by buying him this Personalised Luxury Egyptian Cotton Bathrobe to put on after he's had a shower, or when he's feeling a bit rubbish.

For £69 your man can feel looked after, even if he's feeling ill. I love the personalisation - a monogram - it looks classy, and you can choose the font from a choice of 3.

For Her

Fashion - a good place as any to start. I've always loved Simply Be, they have a brilliant selection of styles and there's always something I like. At the moment there's plenty to choose from.

A top that stood out was this black lace sleeve t-shirt for £18. It's a cute top that would go with a pair of jeans for a casual day, or paired with a great skirt and some heels and you're good to go for a night out. Win!

Something special that you keep with you is a keyring. I love this personalised keyring from Prezzybox for £14.99, it can even be personalised with an engraved message on the back. What a lovely thing to be able to keep with you at all times huh?

A beautiful bouquet of roses is a wonderful gift, and with a selection of choices over at Prestige Flowers you're sure to find something.

You can also add a cute little teddy bear and a small box of chocolates to your bouquet for extra cost.

I received a bouquet of flowers recently and it's so nice to have something like that delivered to your door. To open up the box and be faced with a gorgeous bouquet of flowers. A perfect Valentine's gift.

If you really want to spoil her then why not organise a weekend away or an overnight stay somewhere lovely? Getting away from the kids and having some time alone will do you both the world of good!

The Kids

Gift buying for your partner is bad enough but what if your kids want to buy gifts too? A quick trip to the supermarket might cut it for the younger ones but the teens - not so much.

BP is one of those who likes to buy something for Valentine's Day and luckily this time I had a few ideas for him

They may decide they want a day out, and if that's the case why not try some Adventure Golf or the cinema?

Both of you

If none of the above appeal, for whatever reason, then perhaps the simple things are best.

Imagine being able to sit and eat a lovely meal at home and enjoy each other's company. Why not  cook your favourite meal or perhaps even try something new and spend time together. I have a Valentine's Meal for 2 planned and you can grab recipe cards for it!

Love is the answer, and you know that for sure; Love is a flower, you've got to let it grow.

Sometimes we don't even need gifts do we? Sometimes just the knowledge that we are loved and appreciated is enough to make us happy.

A handwritten note hidden inside the Valentine's card could make your partner's day!

Have a wonderful Valentine's Day.
