Post Comment Love 9th - 11th September

Welcome to another week of Post Comment Love, it's September and the boys are back at school. Hands up - who is both relieved and sad?

*waves*

The quiet, being able to drink a hot coffee in peace, just sitting, these are all things I've enjoyed this week. It's quite a change to the hectic days of the summer holidays, and in some ways they're just as hectic but the craziness is confined to mornings before school. The boys have enjoyed their first week back and they're both loving seeing their friends every day.

I'm back to my morning routine, which is lovely. My washing mountain is reducing (but the ironing pile is growing), my kitchen is clean and tidy, and the lounge is respectable. Every morning I get up and tackle my chores, by 8am it's all done and I can tackle something else. I hope I can stick to this routine but only time will tell, it's rather tiring getting up at 6am and starting on chores straight away. But at the same time it allows me to concentrate on the blog during school hours.

What I've learned over the summer and the last few weeks is that routine is everything. Lists help too. I have a list of chores, a list of blogging tasks, a list of food to cook for the family, a list of food to buy, lists, lists, lists. Having lists has allowed me to keep track of what I'm doing, what is left to do, and how I'm getting on with everything. I know we're only a week into the routines again but I'm feeling positive. The weekend will be the test - if I can keep it up over the weekend I'll call it a win.

Are you back in a routine yet?
