Lasagne The Easy Way

I always thought that making Lasagne was difficult. Chopping up vegetables, cooking pasta sheets, it's all stuff I don't particularly like spending my time doing.

Trying to cook Lasagne the easy way is a lot simpler, using jars of sauce rather than making your own. I don't do it very often but having lasagne occasionally doesn't hurt.

What You'll Need:

Olive oil
500g Mince
400g tin of chopped tomatoes
Oregano and/or basil
Lasagne pasta sheets (I use fresh)
Napolina Lasagne Red Sauce
Napolina Lasagne White Sauce
Grated Cheese (Mozzarella is our favourite)
Garlic bread or tomato/garlic flatbread (optional)
Ovenproof dish

Method:

Preheat your oven to 180ºC (Fan assisted)

Add a little oil to a large frying pan and heat.

Fry the mince until browned.

Your mince should look a little something like this

Discard juices then add Napolina Red Sauce and stir.

Add the chopped tomatoes and basil/oregano and stir.

Spoon a portion of your mince mixture into the bottom of your ovenproof dish, covering the base.

Lay lasagne sheets over the top of the mixture.

Next spoon the white sauce onto the lasagne sheets and spread with the back of the spoon.

Add another layer of your mince mixture.

Continue adding layers of mince, lasagne sheets, and white sauce until it's all used. End with white sauce on top.

Sprinkle grated cheese over the top of the white sauce.

Bake in the oven, at 180ºC (Fan assisted oven) for 25 minutes.

I buy "bake at home" garlic bread and this is where I would bake the garlic bread following the instructions on the pack.

Once your Lasagne is cooked allow it to stand for a few minutes and then serve with optional garlic bread.

Lasagne is another big hit in our house. The boys love it, especially when we have the garlic bread with it.

Have you ever tried to cook Lasagne, and if so how did it go?
