Hello linkers!! Welcome to another groovy Post Comment Love where this week we'll be introducing another Newbie for you to connect with.

They may only be white but I love seeing the flowers blooming in our garden

I can't believe that the sun finally made an appearance on Wednesday. On the school run when I was picking LP up I actually wore a t-shirt, jeans, and my good old ballet flats. That's it! No jacket or anything... I even wore sunglasses! LP was happy to see the sun and spent a good few hours on Wednesday playing in the garden, it was lovely to see.

Well, the cat may be out of the bag where the in-laws are concerned. They didn't know that I blog and over the past few months, when visiting, I've taken my Macbook Air and got a little blogging done. Last week my mother-in-law noticed that I was working, I'd claimed the dining table and had lots to do so I didn't do much talking. She asked me what I was doing and I said "work" and laughed.

For a long time I kept the blogging thing to myself but as the years have gone on and I've become more established I'm comfortable with sharing it. You see, it took a while for me to accept that I was doing something worthwhile, that I was doing something I could be proud of. Now, when I look at the things I've achieved because of my blog I'm pretty proud of myself.

I don't mind admitting I'm quite nervous about the MIL finding out but in the end I love it. This is who I am.

I'm a writer through and through.

I hope you've had a fabulous week peeps, what awesome things have you been up to?

Newbie Showcase Karen from Two Tiny Hands

My name is Karen and I blog at Two Tiny Hands. Even though I started my blog in August last year it wasn’t until February that I really started blogging. It’s been a fun couple of months learning the ropes from all my fellow bloggers, I am in awe of you all! I wish I’d started blogging sooner, you are all amazing!

I’m still finding my feet on the blog but it’s clear to me now that I really, really, love a challenge. Something daily or weekly to complete...

Off the blog, but giving me content, is the 5x50 Challenge. A challenge to walk, run or cycle 5K a day for 50 days. The idea is that exercise becomes a habit if you do it for so long! Go and check out my progress:

On the blog, a self made challenge, is #ABC123. An alphabet challenge, each week is a new letter, I do a food and play activity post... I may struggle with X!

The most important thing to mention is my little family, consisting of the Robot and my lovely partner Dave. These two lovely individuals are my reason for starting blogging. Dave is that lovely, I’ve called him lovely four times now! When discussing blogging with him he doesn’t understand but he’s given me great advice and the confidence to carry on. We became a family in July last year, I love being a Mummy and I’m loving being able to share our adventures with you all!

Even though I am still so new to blogging I’ve taken the plunge to host my own linky. #ABrandNewDay is for anyone wanting to share their own trials and challenges, the idea is that everyone struggles at some point, but I hope that by joining my linky community that they’ll pick themselves up and start a brand new day! Go and check it out for more information:

Pocolo

Each week you'll be able to link up from either of our sites and between us Stephanie and I will comment on every post linked. The rules are still the same; your post needs to have been written in the last week and we'd like you to comment on at least two other linked posts, help us spread the #PoCoLo word on Twitter and include the badge on your post.

The Newbie Showcase is continuing and you'll find it alternating between us. Over the last few months we've had the odd issue with finding replacements for our Newbie Showcase when people have dropped out. As a result Stephanie and I have decided to change the rules slightly.

Now when you get in touch we'll ask you for your information before we give you a date when you'll be featured. Once we have your information we add you to our list and tell you when you'll be featured as our Newbie.

So far this is working much better than before and Stephanie's and my stress levels are significantly lower!

Please do pop over and say hi to this week's Newbie, you remember what it was like being a new blogger right? It's always nice to get a comment or two.

If you'd like to be featured in our Newbie Showcase please do email us at PostCommentLove@gmail.com

Thank you for popping by.

  1. Hi Morgan, I do believe you've had better weather than us this week (although it's going to be a hotty today). I know exactly where you are coming from with keeping your blogging quiet and why. It's only this year really that people I've let people I know into my little secret and started sharing my posts on FB, and I've been pleasantly surprised by the feedback.

As for my parents? My Mum thinks is wonderful (that's what Mums are for), my Dad just doesn't get it and I'm sure he thinks I'm wasting my time. I don't think he's even read one of my posts. I've learned not to let it worry me too much, and I am proud of my little space on the internet. Blogging is hard work so why shouldn't we be proud!...

    Thank you for hosting.

    xx

  2. Thanks for showcasing me as a newbie! I always find it funny going back and reading what I've written a couple of weeks ago! So much has happened since then! Congratulations on the blog outing! I got an exciting oppertunity when my other halfs parents were visiting and I couldn't wait to tell someone, so I told them about the blog and my oppertunity! I emailed them the link to it and now they are subscribers. I'm a writer too!! Thanks for being brilliant hosts week in week out!
