Hungry

Having returned to smaller portion sizes and less chocolate I'm battling the monsters in my tummy. You know the ones, they growl at you constantly and tell you you should eat something. In order to lose weight you have to take in less food, which results in you feeling hungry.

That's been me this week, I'll have a small bowl of cereal in the morning and nothing until lunch time when I'll have a small portion of pasta or something. In between those two meals, at around 10:30am, those tummy monsters start talking and they don't quite until I've had lunch. It's been like that all week, they start again a couple of hours after having lunch too.

I'm sure that my friends think I must be starving myself with the sounds that emanate from my middle but I'm really not. It's a process your body needs to go through to get used the smaller portions and eventually those sounds will die off. I know this and thankfully I can cope with it, especially having lost 4.5lbs in 4 days!

How do you battle the tummy monsters? Ignore or feed?

  1. Well done for losing weight and sticking with it! Could you not have some fat free snacks in between? Maybe get a weeks worth ready in the fridge? X

    1. Ah thanks. I think the problem with having snacks is that when the healthy ones have gone there are still chocolatey ones in the fridge! Best not to tempt myself. :)

  2. I really can't deal with feeling hungry, it also makes me feel nauseous and that I can't handle at all. So it's healthy snacks for me. I do believe you can wean yourself of the sweet stuff though, if you really want to (it's not easy though) Good luck x

  3. I have to admit I feed my tummy monsters, but then I'm on the large side. I desperately need to drop several dress sizes and get healthy but am really struggling. Well done on battling your tummy monsters!

    1. Thank you Olivia. Start off small, that's the best way. Just cut out something that you won't miss or simply eat less when you're eating. I started by cutting down my portion sizes. The weight seemed to drop off really quickly when I did that. I continued having chocolate and alcohol throughout, can't do without my chocolate! Anyway, it's all about what works for you. :) Thanks for stopping by. x

    1. I have found that water helps too. I tend to have a large glass first thing in a morning and after exercise. It certainly helps my energy levels. :) Thanks for stopping by. x

    1. Thanks. I think some days are easier than others and particularly taxing times are when the kids are off school and eating goodies all the time! Needless to say the summer holidays are going to be difficult! Thanks for stopping by. x

    1. Yes I definitely find that I'm more hungry when doing exercise. Like you say, never-ending. If I come across that magic solution I'll let you know. ;)
